Family life

John Davidson — or “Botany John,” as students, friends and family called him — married Annie Seivwright Fraser (1881–1935) on August 3, 1903. The devout Baptists had a daughter, Jean Elizabeth Walker Davidson (born August 4, 1904), and a son, John Fraser (born January 14, 1911). In Vancouver, they also adopted a daughter they named Flora. After Annie’s death in the 1930s, Davidson married his second wife, Edna Stoddart (1912–1995).
