Name: John Davidson
Narrative: John Davidson seated at his desk in the Provincial Botanical Office at 821 West Pender. The following text is quoted from the publication The Vancouver Natural History Society, 1918-1993 by Jim Peacock. At Davidson's left are wooden herbarium cases which were designed according to his own specifications to be dust-free as possible. Each drawer was self-contained so that when it was opened it caused no suction in the others; a drop lid fit tightly into place on closure - useful properties for the protection of fragile botanical specimens.
